Getting Started

Absolutely! Most of our students start from zero. We have dedicated beginner groups where you'll learn Thai script, basic pronunciation, and essential phrases from scratch. Our teachers are experienced with complete beginners and know exactly what challenges English speakers face.
With consistent practice (2-3 classes per week), most students can hold basic conversations in 2-3 months. To reach conversational fluency typically takes 6-12 months. Thai has 5 tones which require practice, but with live correction from native teachers, you'll progress faster than with apps alone.
We recommend it, and we teach it! Reading Thai script helps with pronunciation and opens up a world of learning resources. But we start with romanization so you can speak from day one. Most students learn the basics of Thai script within the first month.
Yes! We offer a free 30-minute trial session with a native Thai teacher. No credit card required. Just message us on WhatsApp to book your spot.

About Our Classes

Each 90-minute class follows a structured format: warm-up conversation, new vocabulary/grammar introduction, guided practice with your teacher, and free conversation practice. You'll receive materials before class and homework after. About 80% of class time is you speaking, not listening.
Group classes have 2-4 students at a similar level. You'll practice with classmates and learn from each other's mistakes. Private 1-on-1 classes are fully customized to your goals and pace. Most students start with group classes and add private sessions for specific needs.
We offer classes in mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate students in US, European, and Australian timezones. When you sign up, we'll find times that work for your schedule.
All sessions are recorded. You can watch the recording and practice on your own. If you need to reschedule, just let us know 24 hours in advance and we'll find another slot for you.

Our Teachers

Yes, all our teachers are native Thai speakers born and raised in Thailand. They also speak English fluently and have experience teaching Thai to foreigners. They understand the specific challenges English speakers face with tones, consonant clusters, and grammar.
Yes! Once you've had a few classes and found a teacher you click with, you can request to continue with them. We try to keep class groups consistent so you build rapport with your teacher and classmates.

Practical Questions

Just a computer or tablet with a camera, microphone, and stable internet connection. We use Zoom for all classes. A headset with a microphone is recommended for better audio quality, but not required.
Yes, you can pause your subscription for up to 4 weeks if you're traveling or need a break. Just let us know in advance and we'll hold your spot in your regular class group.
If you're not satisfied after your first paid month, we'll refund you in full. No questions asked. We want you to be confident this is the right fit for you.

About Thai Language

Thai has some unique challenges (5 tones, a new alphabet) but also advantages: no verb conjugations, no gendered nouns, relatively simple grammar. Most students find it easier than Chinese (which has more tones and characters) and comparable to Vietnamese. The key is getting the tones right early, which is exactly what our live classes focus on.
Thai has 5 tones: mid, low, falling, high, and rising. The same syllable spoken with different tones means completely different things. For example, "ma" can mean come, horse, or dog depending on the tone. Getting tones wrong is the #1 reason foreigners aren't understood. Our teachers correct your tones in real-time so you build good habits from day one.
Yes! Within 2-3 months, you'll be able to read basic Thai. Street signs, menus, and simple text will become accessible. Our curriculum includes reading practice alongside speaking, so you develop both skills together.
